Roots blower failure causes and solutions

1. Bearing overheating

There are mainly the following reasons for the overheating of Roots blower bearings: poor lubrication, bearing aging, excessive load and so on.

The solution:

(1) Check bearing lubrication regularly to keep lubricating oil clean;

(2) Timely replacement of aging bearings;

(3) Reasonable control of Roots blower operating load.

2. Loud noise

The excessive noise of Roots blower is often caused by the gap between the impeller and the shell, and the aging of blower accessories.
The solution:
(1) Adjust the gap between the impeller and the shell according to the actual situation;
(2) Timely replacement of aging fan accessories.

3. Gas leakage
Roots blower air leakage mainly has the following reasons: poor seal, improper installation, fan accessories damage.
The solution:
(1) Check the tightness of the fan to ensure that there is no leakage at the connecting interface;
(2) Strictly follow the instructions when installing;
(3) Check the blower parts and replace them in time if they are damaged.

4. The running is unstable
The unstable operation of Roots blower may be caused by the unstable power supply voltage, the uneven medium entering the blower, and the Roots blower itself.
The solution:
(1) Stable supply of power to avoid large voltage fluctuations;
(2) Ensure that the medium entering the blower is uniform;
(3) The Roots blower itself needs to be repaired by professional maintenance personnel.

5. Overload occurs
The phenomenon of Roots blower overload is generally caused by the workload exceeding the blower's bearing capacity.

(1) Reasonable planning of the use of the blower to avoid long-term overload operation;
(2) Improve the stability and efficiency of the equipment;
(3) Enhance the user's awareness of operation and maintenance.
